New Quay vs Hollywood

If you get to spend any amount of time in New Quay, you’ll notice the poet Dylan Thomas features in a few places. He lived in New Quay for a time (where he composed Quite Early one Morning) and although not a fully accurate representation, the film ‘The Edge of Love’ does cover a snapshot of his life in New Quay. This clip of the film shows some of the loveliness of New Quay and if you watch closely at the end, you’ll see the very field we’ll be partying in!

P.s ~ Have you booked your accommodation yet?!

Planes, Trains and Automobiles…and Ferries!

As West Wales is quite the trek we’ve put together a map with nearest train stations, airports and ferry ports. It got a bit out of hand, I’ll admit that, so it does look like a lot/too much information. However, take heart, we’re just a phone call or email away if it doesn’t make sense. Timings for the day

Here’s a rough idea of how we’re hoping the day will run…no guarantees speeches won’t run over!

3.30pm :: Arrive in Charlie’s field, pick up a welcome drink and enjoy the view (fingers crossed for the sun people!)
4pm :: Bride & Groom arrive to kick off proceedings
5pm :: Reception drinks, quick trip to the beach, photos with family & friends
6pm – 8.30pm :: Eat, drink and be merry!
9pm :: Get your groove on with our DJ pals

Get booking your beds peoples!

It’s mid-June (only 80 days to go!) so if you’ve not reserved/booked your accommodation yet,  please get cracking!

There are two great places to stay near the wedding reception – Aberaeron which is a short drive/taxi ride from the party and has a pretty harbour or New Quay which is a walk up the road from the wedding celebrations (worth noting there are one or two small hills to master first!) For other accommodation suggestions nearby take a look at the ‘Sleep’ section

Let us know if you have any problems, we want all of you to be there to celebrate with us!
