Our wedding

No Church?! A wedding in a field?!

We want for all our guests to be involved in our wedding day – no evening invites where you miss out on the speeches and cake cutting (or Mogs playing his guitar…lucky us) So we felt the best way to involve you all was to invite you to celebrate in an informal ceremony in Charlie’s field. Please arrive for 3.30pm and come with your singing voice!

Timings for the day

3.30pm :: Arrive in Charlie’s field, pick up a welcome drink and enjoy the view (fingers crossed for the sun people!)
4pm :: Bride & Groom arrive to kick off proceedings
5pm :: Reception drinks, quick trip to the beach, photos with family & friends
6pm – 8.30pm :: Eat, drink and be merry!
9pm :: Get your groove on with our DJ pals

Where is Charlie’s field?

Approaching New Quay from Aberaeron, turn right in Llanarth following signs for New Quay (B4342) You’ll come to a cross roads with the Cambrian Inn on your left (if you drive past Quay West on your right you’ve gone too far) take the immediate right sign posted Cei Bach. Follow this road for about half a mile until you see Charlie’s field on your left.

If travelling to New Quay via Synod Inn, follow signs for New Quay. Following the road through New Quay you’ll join the main road leading out towards Aberaeron. Look out for Quay West on your left as you approach a crossroad and take the first left sign posted Cei Bach (The Cambrian Inn will be on your right) Follow this road for about half a mile until you see Charlie’s field on your left.

This is the junction you’ll need to turn off from – look out for the Cambrian Inn:

If you prefer you can view it all here on a proper map

Where can I park?

There are plenty of parking spots available in Charlie’s field

What’s for dinner?

After a celebration drink and finding your way to your table, guests will be called to the Hog roast and accompanying buffet from 6pm.

Please do let us know in your RSVP if you have any special dietary requirements, that way we can do all we can to cater for you. The buffet will be vegetarian.

Getting home

You will probably want to stay in New Quay or Aberaeron as it will be cheaper and easier to get a taxi back to your accommodation. However, please make sure you book your taxi in advance (perhaps the day before) as there are a limited number of companies that serve the area. The following companies serve the local area:

TAR cars – 01545 560 688
Tidy Taxis – 01545 561 100
Tacsi Me’s Taxis – 07772 201939
R&T taxis –  07794 045 888

Where am I going to sleep?

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay it’s best to look at New Quay or Aberaeron. Take a look at the accommodation pages – there should be something there for every budget and taste – then get booking!
