Stay in New Quay

New Quay is one of Wales’ most popular sailing locations and with its beautiful long sandy beach, an old harbour wall to dolphin watch, many a pub and good old fish and chips – it’s ACES!

The poet Dylan Thomas lived here for a time and some of the film loosely based on his life ‘The Edge of Love’ was filmed in New Quay. If it’s good enough for Sienna Miller and Keira Knightly…

We love it and that’s why we’ve chosen it as our location to celebrate our marriage. If you’d like to take a longer break when you visit Wales for the wedding, New Quay would make a great location.

I’m wondering which venues in newquay have a marriage licence? I’d love to get married there then have an outdoor ceremony.

    • Hello Amy
Thanks for reading the blog and congratulations on your engagement! Great question about finding licensed wedding venues. At the time of our wedding New Quay (Wales) didn’t have a licensed venue for weddings. I’d recommend you check with Ceredigion council or search by postcode using the tool on the Direct Gov website:
Very best of luck with planning your wedding – I hope it’s a wonderful start to your marriage!
